The services provided by PEACESAT are offered through a multitude of information and communication technologies and networks. Included technologies are the GOES-7 satellite, PEACESAT earthstation’s, Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), and Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM). PEACESAT also provides services over its dedicated links in the pacific region and also supplies Internet access. Each site in the PEACESAT mesh network can be cross connected with each other as well as outside entities enabling the bridging of many different networks.

The GOES-7 Satellite allows multiple forms of data to be interchanged among the participating members of the PEACESAT network and provides a link with areas that otherwise would not be easily accessible.

PEACESAT Earthstation’s send and receive satellite signals to the GOES-7 Satellite and comes in many different formats. Earthstations have varying degrees of performance but each earthstation provides some means of information transmission.

ISDN is a technology that was created for Video Teleconferencing and has been an integral part in the PEACESAT network as it provides a standardized means of connecting varying organizations throughout the world.

The State Telehealth Access Network (STAN) connects to American Samoa, The Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, and Guam via ATM.

The Dedicated links in the Pacific Island Regions provides stable forms of connections for data transmission and is used by many different education institutions and government organizations.

Through connections via the University of Hawaii and Internet Service Providers PEACESAT is able to provided Internet access to educational, governmental, and health related organizations.
